What a good product description does
A good product description helps a shopper decide. It leads with what the product does for them, then lists the facts they need (size, material, what is in the box), and ends with a clear next step. It is specific and honest, because a wrong detail leads to returns and bad reviews.
How the generator structures the copy
- Opening paragraph (2 to 4 sentences): the main benefit and who it is for.
- Specifications: four to eight bullets built from your notes.
- Closing line: one short call to action.
Marketplace or Online store?
| Mode | Use it for | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| Marketplace | Listings on a marketplace | Keep the key facts early and follow the platform's rules on length, formatting and claims |
| Online store | Your own shop pages | Add your brand voice, sizing help, shipping and returns details |
Write better notes
- Include numbers with units: "24 oz", "350 g", "12 x 8 inches".
- Say what is in the package.
- Add care instructions and compatibility, such as "fits iPhone 15".
- Mention only claims you can prove, such as "tested by us" with the test conditions.
Check before you publish
- Does every specification match the product on your desk?
- Are there claims about health, safety, certification or warranty? Remove them unless you can document them and your platform allows them.
- Does the copy use the keywords shoppers type? Add them naturally.
- Is the length right for the platform? Count with the Word Counter.
For the search listing of your product page, use the Meta Description Generator in Product mode.
Limits
The tool cannot see your product, photos or competitors. It does not verify facts, so it will repeat any error in your notes. Platforms have their own policies on claims and prohibited terms, and the responsibility for the listing is yours. Read the output as a draft.
